Dan Harden is president and chief designer of Whipsaw Inc., an industrial design and product development firm in Silicon Valley, California, who specialises in creating new products and systems for companies including Abbott Labs, Acer, Cisco, Creative Labs, Dionex, Gateway, Intel, Leapfrog, NEC, Nokia, Pioneer, Rio Audio, Thomson, Toshiba, Virgin. Graduating from the University of Cincinnati in 1982, Dan Harden has been an industrial designer since then. He has been granted over 100 patents. Many of his designs have become huge market hits, including the Acer Aspire PC, AT&T digital answering machine 1337, Braun Thermoscan, Creative Labs cameras, Gateway computers, Leapfrog Leappads, Logitech mice, Motorola phones, Rio MP3 players, Roku SoundBridge, and Sony headsets. Prior to founding Whipsaw, Dan Harden was the president of frog design, and also worked at Henry Dreyfuss Associates and Dolphin Design.
