Lead UX Designer

Do you find yourself bursting with excitement when you realize you just experienced a seamlessly designed interaction? Are you a critical thinker with an equally critical eye for design? Do you walk through the world often frustrated with poorly designed products and services, and know that you could have helped them work better? Do you enjoy being an advocate for the user throughout the complex design process that lead to cohesive systems? You could be just the person we’re looking for. We’re in search of a well-rounded visionary to fulfill the position of Lead UX Designer, and join our growing team as we strive to make sure every single product and experience we touch involves user experience thinking from start to finish. For this role you will primarily be delivering digital experiences while working with interdisciplinary teams of interaction designers, industrial designers, and engineers to guide our integrated product development process. Our team has a depth of expertise in the hardware space, and your work will focus on the relationships of software and hardware systems. As a Lead UX Designer, you will balance high-level project strategy with hands-on research and design work that shapes everything from the high-level vision of a product experience, to the detailed digital interactions that make the product delightful to use.

Design Delightful Interactions & Experiences

  • Ability to quickly design and prototype experiences at a variety of fidelities, while not being tied to any specific tool or technique
  • Be a passionate advocate and practitioner of micro-interactions, and user interfaces using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, competitive audits, market research, and other forms of requirements discovery
  • Take the lead in moving from research to user flows and wireframes, into detailed visual mockups to develop an informed design language and thoughtful product execution
  • Guide and contribute to developing beautiful visual design languages, and documenting the supporting assets in organized design systems

You Have:

  • 6+ years minimum relevant professional experience working in digital experience design on interdisciplinary teams to research, build, test, and deliver great products. Experience in a fast-moving consultancy is a plus.
