Industrial Design Intern (Summer 2024)

• Interface with industrial design, experience design, and engineering team members to create seamless design solutions
• Actively research design solutions and user applications
• Concept exploration for diverse projects
• Contribute to client presentations
• Model making

• 3+ years as an Industrial Design student
• Exhibit sound problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, an innate sense of good aesthetics, strong communication, uniqueness, and passion
• A portfolio that demonstrates concept exploration, innovative solutions, and communicates problem-solving skills
• 3D modeling skills – preferably Rhino, Solidworks, or Alias
• Confidence with 2D and 3D design visualization tools
• Important: You must have current documentation to work in the United States

Whipsaw will only review applicants who are active students in an Industrial Design Program. For a portfolio to stand out it should demonstrate only your most impressive work. Examples of what we look for are imaginative solutions to real problems, clear process development, advanced ideation and model-making skills, and an understanding of common manufacturing processes.
