Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Marketing Manager responsible for developing, implementing, and executing Whipsaw's strategic marketing plans. You’ll work with senior leadership to develop marketing strategies and plans across different channels and align creative direction with the company’s strategic goals. You will oversee all marketing campaigns, analyze data to evaluate the success of their efforts, and come up with new ideas to improve effectiveness. As a member of the Whipsaw marketing team, you will navigate how the team is presented externally, and how we communicate our design expertise, our projects, and our accomplishments.You should have an intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field. This position is based out of our San Francisco studio with an expectation of working in person at least three days per week. Whipsaw is a product innovation company with 24 years of experience turning good ideas into great products across all industries. Our multi-disciplinary team includes industrial designers, UX/UI designers, and engineers passionate about creating intelligent, unique, intuitive solutions that connect profoundly with end users.

What you will do

  • Oversee all marketing campaigns and event coordination and strategy
  • Implement overall marketing strategy
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Contribute to our web presence and analyze social and web data 
  • Create content and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Conceptualize and execute multichannel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels
  • Provide exemplary customer support in client and media interactions. Lead by being an enthusiastic participant at events. 
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Identify the effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

What you will bring

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in marketing
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Professional judgment and discretion that come from years of experience in the field
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  • Comfortable partnering with senior team leadership and outside agencies to deliver on expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Familiarity with project management software including Asana and Notion
  • You must have current documentation to be able to work in the United States
