ARC (advanced recumbent chair) is a compact folding chair for temporary seating. Unlike all other event chairs that stack vertically, the ARC chair stacks horizontally so you never have to lift chairs for storage – just slide them together. When stacked together, ARC chairs create a beautiful nested pattern. When set up in rows, the seat remains folded up, so people can pass by easily, like theater chairs. ARC has only one moving part (the seat) compared to a conventional folding chair that has three moving parts: the seat, front legs, and back legs, so it’s efficient to make and less likely to break. ARC was developed as an internal Whipsaw project.
