Nancy Smith

VP of Go-to-Market

At Whipsaw, Nancy leads go-to-market strategy for client launches, helping product and brand work land with the right audience, on the right channels, at the right moment.

Nancy helped put a robot in 13 million homes. She launched the world's first robot vacuum with a marketing budget under $50,000 and built Roomba into a household name. As VP of Marketing Communications at iRobot for more than a decade, she grew the home robot business from zero to over $500 million by 2013, working with 65 global distributors and a domestic sales team.

After iRobot, she served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at a Boston hardware incubator, acting as CMO for several early-stage companies. In 2018 she joined Hydrow and led the 2019 launch of its connected fitness rower, owning sales, partnerships, and marketing across every channel.

Her work spans consumer tech, connected fitness, health and wellness, and music. She's been named Executive of the Year by the Stevie Awards and has earned Bell Ringer Awards, a Bulldog Award for Excellence in Media Relations, and a MarCom Creativity Award.

Nancy holds a business degree from Merrimack College and has guest lectured at Tufts, Bentley, MIT, and Merrimack.
