Folding Cane

Rise is a folding cane designed to help people move with confidence and dignity. While there are plenty of alternatives on the market, most come with a compromise: clunky to carry, awkward to store, or out of step with personal style. With Rise, we wanted to create an elegant solution that felt easy to reach for, designed with the same care and dignity as anything else someone might carry.

Rise folds in half in one simple motion, so it can tuck into a bag, ride on a car seat, or hang from the edge of a table. Every detail, from the lightweight aluminum frame to the sculpted handle, was designed to feel as good as it looks.

Working across industrial design, engineering, brand, packaging, and digital, we built Rise from the ground up over seven years, from first sketches through manufacturing. Rise is now available for pre-order at risecane.com

One fold, one motion

‍Rise folds in half at a single knee joint, collapsing to about 20 inches so it fits in a backpack, a carry-on, or the seat beside you. The top and bottom sections are joined with an internal elastic cord that runs in a channel so the halves stay controlled as they swing together. To fold it, simply bring the foot up under the handle and a magnet snaps it into place, holding the cane in one compact piece.

A handle that works with you

The handle aligns your weight in a straight line from your shoulder to the ground for balanced support. The handle’s curved shape also lets the folded cane hang from the edge of a table, or wall-mounted hook. The ergonomic grip is over molded in seamless silicone.

Light to carry, strong where it counts

The stem is made of anodized aluminum, chosen for its strength at low weight and sized to the slimmest diameter that still exceeds safety requirements. The first run comes in four sizes, finished in space gray with a black handle. Rise is independently tested to ISO 24415-1 and EN 1985 safety standards for walking aids.

Built around confidence

‍We built the Rise identity guided by one idea: support should expand what someone can do, not narrow it. A friendly, timeless logo is laser-etched beneath the handle, and the visual identity pairs understated luxury with bright green accents and generous space across the web experience. Rise arrives flat in a premium, sustainable box that opens like a book, presenting the folded cane like a gift.
