Whipsaw and its clients celebrate five wins in the coveted German Industrial Design Competitions. The Google OnHub wireless router, the Kaleidescape Strato movie player, and Pacific Biosciences Sequel System laboratory equipment won Red Dot. Google OnHub also won an iF award, as did the Silk Road Medical Enroute® vascular surgery device.

“Red Dot and iF are among the most respected award programs in the world, each known for their objective judgment of what constitutes good design. Kudos to our amazing clients for courageously producing important products that make a difference in peoples lives. Our winners this year span the gamut from human genome and vascular surgery products to home networking and entertainment products. Each make significant technology and usability leaps in their respective fields,” said Dan Harden, CEO and Principal Designer of Whipsaw.

The sought-after “Red Dot” is the revered international seal of outstanding design quality. An international jury of 41 experts scrutinized and assessed 5,200 entries from 57 countries this year to select, and award, those product designs showing exceptional quality and deep innovation.

The iF Design Award is an internationally established symbol identifying outstanding achievements in design. As one of the oldest design competitions, the iF product design award can look back on a rich, long tradition labeling design excellence around the world. This year, the international high-profile jury evaluated 5,295 entries from 53 countries to determine who would receive the coveted iF seal of excellence.
